Is Baby Elfie The Future of Selfies?
Just a couple of weeks ago, Rohan wrote a blog about a small pocket sized drone called AirSelfie. This seems to be the technology that is going to become the new trend (just like the Baby Elfie. Is this going to take over the selfie stick? Only the future can reveal that, however, we can certainly say, that selfies will be getting a whole new range on them from the previously popular selfie stick.
Having the extended range (from the selfie stick’s less than 1 meter, to the almost 30 meters of the Baby Elfie) the angles of selfie photos will change dramatically. So the difference in range from the AirSelfie and Baby Elfie is about 10 meters. This is quite a substantial difference when considering that this is a small drone, mainly used for selfie purposes.
The JJRC H37 (better known as Baby Elfie) also comes with a G-Sensor Controller which makes controlling it very easy and nimble. The baby drone also has a light that can be switched on and it seems to be quite a bright little light. Let’s get a better look at how this piece if kit works and what you can expect:
The Baby Elfie
So the Baby Elfie does have quite a few very neat features including (as previously mentioned) some very nice bright lights in the front, and red lights at the back. Now the brightness of these light have to still be established or whether it is just there for directional purposes (knowing which way you are flying). When only the controller is being used, these lights will come in very handy. It is only when you use your smartphone that you can see what the camera is recording, and the ability to record (according to Quadcopter 101) is only done through the interface on the smartphone. This is probably an area where they can improve the remote control of the Baby Elfie. The lens of the camera on the Baby Elfie can also be swivelled/adjusted to record on a different angle.
When taking the two Selfie Drones into comparison, which on between the AirSelfie and the Baby Elfie would you say is your favourite and why? Let Rohan know below, he would be happy to hear your point of view. Also if there are more of there selfie drones that you know about, tell Rohan and he would love to look into them.
